Delicious breakfast and incredibly nice staff!!!

Amazing and friendly hotel located not far from Windermere and the lakes. Neat and modern room with a fine view, mini fridge plus comfortable bed. Magnificent, amazing location knowledgeable on local area. Nearby The George - great place to chill...  

Marvellous location close to Keswick Mining Museum, appreciated it. Could reach the bus stop within 10 minutes' walk. The staff was super-friendly, exceptionally nice, and everything was perfect.

The family-run atmosphere. The scenic mountain view from my single room added a peaceful dimension to my experience.

The check-in process felt slightly rushed despite the otherwise attentive service.

Parking could be a hassle during peak times!!! Room sizes may feel cramped for families!!! Shower pressure was inconsistent on various occasions!!!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing

I just returned from the most wonderful stay! The warmth from the family hosts, and every morning started with the best cooked-to-order breakfast I've ever had. I loved the cozy ambiance and the homemade cakes...  

We had an amazing two nights in a single room, with lovely homemade cake left in our room daily and the comfiest bed! A fabulous touch was the variety of hot drinks replenished every day.

Solo traveler relaxing retreat

I got a comfy room with a killer view of those snow-capped peaks. And guess what? They had these home-made cakes waiting for me every day! Like, it was like a secret agent treat for a solo traveler....  

Staying at the dalkeith was a good experience! Steve and his family are the kindest hosts, going out of their way to. The room had fine views of the mountains, and every morning I enjoyed a awesome breakfast. It's conveniently...  

Fantastic homemade treats, like fresh cakes left daily in the room, add a personal touch to the stay. The views from the rooms of the surrounding mountains are fine and enhance the experience of being in that...  

The location is ideal, just a short walk to town, and the homemade cake left in the room was a lovely surprise. The owners were friendly, offering great dining recommendations and catering to specific dietary requests at breakfast. Parking nearby can be challenging, and the dining options can get crowded during peak times, necessitating advanced reservations.

Really good breakfast and warm hospitality

The hosts were friendly and provided detailed local information. Every morning, I enjoyed an excellent breakfast cooked to order, with a great selection of options that catered to my every need. The only downside was the narrow street parking, which could be a bit challenging at times.

Rooms are super clean and the homemade treats were the icing on the cake. A lovely touch for tired walkers like us after a long day out!

Just a minor hiccup-the only view we had was of the scaffolding!

Strongly recommend for a weekend vacation

Really good room, really good cleanliness, the well-stocked refreshment tray included a delicious homemade cake that greeted us upon arrival and the convenient location made it easy to explore the city from just a short walk away....  

After long hikes, coming back to homemade lemon cake and cozy spots to unwind was just perfect. the only tiny thing was I wished I could've tried the full breakfast, but that didn't put a damper on my fantastic experience! 🍰....
